I just used this with my dog. I put her kibble in the toy for a mid day snack. It took her a bit to catch on and then she understood. I would buy again .
I have a 2 year old male Lab and I've bought him just about every puzzle toy on the market. He really does enjoy playing with these sorts of toys. I'd put this toy in the "easy" category. The way I gauge the difficulty of these toys is by whether or not he can find all the treats before he gets bored and walks away. Understand that being a Lab, he likes his food. There's not much the boy won't eat! So he'll worry with these toys for quite a while. He can empty this toy rather quickly, seems to have a great time doing it but does not get frustrated or bored with it.When you are looking at puzzle toys, one thing to consider is the ease with which you can clean them. Yes, you do need to clean them at lease occasionally. I clean them every time he plays with one. Again, Lab. He's got a huge tongue and big wet nose. By the time he's finished, the entire toy is covered in puppy slobber. Some of these toys are absolute nightmares to clean. This one is NOT. You can put it in the sink under running water and clean it up fairly quickly (a minute or two). I give it a gentle shake and set it aside to air dry, going back once to move the pieces so that all the compartments dry. Alternatively, you could use a cloth or paper towel to dry it.I definitely recommend this toy.
no complaints about the product, i think it would be great for a puppy, its just a little too easy and weak for an older/bigger dog.
Keeps my puppy entertained and delivers healthy treats
Our dog figured this out after the 2nd time. It's not that difficult so if you have one of the smarter breeds like we do, I'd pass on this and get one that's more challenging. We bought it mainly to slow down how fast she eats, which it does do that so that's the only reason I'm giving this 3 stars. In addition, it's not easy to clean. The cracks and crevices hold water after cleaning it. We stopped using this after about 3 weeks just because I felt like I could never really get it clean.
